Billings
The recent discontinuation of air service by Big Sky Airlines has left people in northeast Montana with limited options for public transportation to Billings. Valley County Transit implemented bus/van service twice weekly between Glasgow and Billings on April 14th. Through June 10th, we have transported 61 people for medical reasons, visit family and friends, catch a flight out of Billings or a variety of other personal reasons.
The bus/van leaves on Monday morning at 6:30 a.m. from the Valley County Transit building located at 213 9th Street South in Glasgow. The Valley County Transit driver will take passengers to their desired destination in Billings. The return trip will be on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Rimrock Inn in Billings. Stops can be made along the route to pickup or drop off passengers at predetermined locations. The same route will be repeated on Thursday with a return trip on Friday.
There has been an overwhelming positive response to the implementation of this service with many hoping that it will continue. While the startup of Great Lakes Aviation is still unknown, Valley County Transit has committed to continuing bus service to Billings through the month of July and may be able to continue later into the year. Due to the continuous increases in fuel costs, Valley County Transit has found it necessary to increase the current fare of $60 one-way to $80 one-way effective July 1, 2008.
Call 406-228-8747 or 888-535-2399 for more information or to reserve your seat. A wheelchair accessible vehicle is available with prior notice.
Williston
Every third Tuesday, Valley County Transit or Daniels County Transportation provide transportation to Williston for medical purposes. Passengers with medical appointments will be given first priority, however any empty seats will be offered to the general public. A cost of $20.00 ($30 after July 1, 2008) round-trip makes this very affordable. (This service is made possible through the Valley County Council on Aging)

October 7 & 28
